John Falato (Connecticut b. 1940)

John Falato was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1940 and received his education in Fine Arts at Paier College of Art and the University of Hartford. Falato is noted for his attention to detail, delicate brush strokes and ability to render his subjects in a unique and super-realistic style—a style which has garnered him many accolades and awards including the Allied Artists of America’s “Mervin Honig Memorial Award,” the Award of Excellence in the Arts for the Parks Competition and the American Artists Profesional League Award.

In addition to his career as a painter Falato also holds a professorship in the department of Arts and Illustration at his alma mater, Pair College of Art.
