Trinity House Inlaid Sewing Box, circa 1850-1880, depicting a pilot boat guiding a square rigged 2-tier gunboat out of the harbor on tulipwood water with lighthouse and villages on the mountainside. The hinged top exposes a 9-compartment tray with scalloped dividers, 4 covers with carved mother-of-pearl knobs and pincushion, all burlwood side panels with line inlay, supported on wafer feet.
