Cased Half Hull Model of the Steam Sail Auxiliary Ship Savannah, 20th Century, the Savannah was built in 1818 and commanded by Captain Moses Rogers. The Savannah became the first steamboat to cross the Atlantic Ocean in 1819. In mahogany case with silver plaque, model built by N.F. Ball Essex, Connecticut.
