Nickerson born in Lancashire England, his paintings combine realism and abstraction with luminous and bold colors. In 1972 he received a diploma from the Royal College of Art in London, then spent two years in Rome at the British School, Won a Prix de Rome; In 1976 he moved to New York City and established a studio. This painting sold for $45,600 at Sotheby’s New York in 2007.
