A work which very much influenced his popular contemporary writers, Barham’s collection of humorous and sometimes macabre stories includes enduring poems such as The Jackdaw of Rheims and A Franklyn’s Dogge. Bound in original cloth, uncut. First issue of first edition with Vol 1 having blank page 236, and Vol. 3 has the misprint “topot” on page 350. Illustrations by George Cruikshank and John Leech.
