Scottish Mahogany Longcase Clock, John Todd (Active 1823-1837), Glasgow, with contrastingly inlaid swan’s neck pediment over an arched dial with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, inscribed “John Todd, Glasgow” and painted in polychrome and metallic pigments with representations of the Four Seasons in the spandrels and a vignette of Highland dancing in the arch, the elegantly proportioned case inlaid with boxwood stringing and containing an eight-day weight driven pendulum movement. Height 85 in. Width 21 in. Depth 9 in.
