Whale Ivory, Tortoiseshell and Abalone Pie Crimper, circa 1840, carved from a single tooth, having a solid zig-zag wheel with shaped supports, two square sections, one inlaid with abalone panels the other wrapped in tortoiseshell with silver sunbursts, an octagonal shaped grip with a ring ending with a diamond tip and two abalone dots.
