Printmaker, painter and sculptor, John F. Lochtefeld has had over 20 one-man shows. His works are in private and public collections from Western Europe, across the Americas to Honolulu and Tokyo. Since 1969 the artist lives and works on Nantucket Island, and before settling full time on Nantucket was a professor of Fine Art on the faculty of Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York. His works have garnered a variety of awards including the Emile Jacque Gold Medal from the University of Notre Dame, the Berwick Award for Watercolor, the Gannon Award for Liturgical Art and dozens of awards in exhibitions sponsored by the Artists’ Association of Nantucket.
