Whalebone and Whale Ivory Cup Toy, mid 19th century, the game is played by swinging the attached ball in an effort to catch it on the upswing in the cup. The greater challenge is to catch the ball in the hole with the spike side of the handle. The ivory bowl turned and carved out to receive a golf-size ball both with red wax scribe lines. Two baleen spacers and a multi-ring and turned handle.
