British Sailor’s Woolwork, A Ship-of-the-Line Maneuvering off the Turkish Coast, circa 1860, depiction of an unidentified British warship sailing past a fortress flying the Turkish flag and in the distance another ship, flying the French flag, shows her stern in a rosewood frame with gilt slip.
