French Prisoner-of-War Polychrome Bone Spinning Jenny, circa 1810, the upper platform with 3 female figures, a baby in a cradle and birdcage with 3 birds, 2 ladies wearing fancy hats in front of an elaborately carved spoked spinning wheel. The lower mechanical platform rocks the cradle, moves the head and arms of the taller female, as well as the birds in the cage. The birds, cage and shoes of the 3 females and baby are polychromed.
