Group of Four Whale Ivory Bodkins, circa 1850-1870, from the top: 1st in two sections, the grip finely turned with a baleen spacer to a tapering spike with three scribe lines; the 2nd a clenched fist holding a rope with two baleen spacers; the 3rd a carved ladies leg with boot, with thin baleen spacer to a tapering spike; 4th the upper section of whale ivory with pierced hearts stippled and openwork doweled to a whalebone turned tapering spike.
