Three Whaleman Whale Ivory, Bone and Steel Tools, circa 1840, the 1st with a multi-turned and scribed handle initialed, “A.S.C.”, with a steel rod pinned within the handle extending to a flattened edge, the 2nd a steel auger with an ivory handle initialed, “N.CH…”, the 3rd a whalebone turned and tapering utensil, reeded and scribed.
