Anglo-English Mariner’s Camphorwood Inlaid Traveling Desk, circa 1850, rectangular form with stop hinges fashioned of satinwood, ebony, whalebone and whale ivory. Recessed brass handles, contrasting 1/4 fans, three 5-point stars, bone escutcheon and a 12-point star on top, ebony trim to top and base. The lid opens to reveal 6 interior secret compartments.
