Chinese Porcelain Scotchman Plate, likely a copy from the original, which was produced in the 18th century, vivid enamel painting of two members of Hyland Regiment in full regalia with regimental flag and four-cartouche border all on an orange peel ground porcelain. The initials “CR” painted on the cartridge pouch of figure on left are a ‘misread’ on the part of the Chinese artisans of the Royal Cypher “GR”, signifying King George, Latinized as Georgius Rex.
