Whalebone, Whale Ivory, Baleen and Silver Watch Hutch with Pair of Scottish Polychromed and Scrimshawed Whale’s Teeth, circa 1840, engraved with a lady and gentleman in formal attire flanked by thistle; the reverse of each with a castle. Standing on a thistle engraved silver coin, flanking a baleen star inserted with a silver coin engraved “E.A.”; the baleen frieze engraved with two bands of diamond design. The front with 3 laminated ivory plaques with spouting sperm whale.
