Note: The sea chest of Captain R. Foster who took command of 384 ton whale ship, “Wilmington and Liverpool Packet”, replacing Captain Alexander Russell who returned home ill during voyage to the Pacific Ocean. Homeport of the ship is New Bedford, Massachusetts, Owner – Agent J.A. Parker & Sons. Sailed to Pacific Whaling grounds, November 14, 1833, and returned May 13, 1837 with 2725 barrels of sperm oil. A second voyage to the Pacific Ocean leaving New Bedford on November 19, 1837 and returning august 21, 1841 with 2538 barrels of sperm oil. On its third trip to the Pacific, sailing December 22, 1841, the ship was condemned at the Sandwich Islands in 1845, but shipped home 5850 barrels of oil.
