Notes: The Sobraon was launched 17 April 1866 and sailed from Plymouth on her maiden voyage 21 November 1866. She arrived in Sydney in just 75 days on her homeward passage to London in April 1867, she carried 200 passengers and 5,000 bales of wool. The Sobraon made six voyages to Sydney before her new owners Devitt & Moore placed her in their Melbourne trade. From 1872, she made 19 annual voyages to Melbourne. The Sabraon was an elite passenger ship normally carrying 90 first class and 40 other passengers. The standard of her accommodation and the services provided was unsurpassed by other ships at the time.
