Keegan began painting at the age of 37 years old. After acquiring an agent who displayed her work throughout the United States and Europe, Marie painted exclusively for the famous Jay Johnson Gallery in Manhattan.  She stayed with him for 17 years until his death.  Keegan has been honored with numerous awards and is part of many gallery collections and exhibitions.
