Douglas Flackman was born in Ramsey, NJ, in 1957 and studied for four years under the mentoring of Arthur Maynard of Art Students League. He has lived in Vermont and Arizona, and paints wherever he travels…Nantucket being a current favorite! He has shown in the Salmagundi Club and most major shows on the East Coast, and counts Sargent, Arthur Maynard, and Frank Vincent DuMond among his many influences. His scenes of Sedona provide a beautiful, accurate record of the breathtakingly beautiful landscape there.
