Georgina Klitgaard (American 1893-1976) Oil on Canvas “The Pacific Club”, once known as Nantucket’s Customs House, with two pedestrians strolling past the boat filled harbor and Pacific Club on a summer day, signed lower right, G. Klitgaard, also titled and signed on stretcher, in molded painted wood frame. Sold at Osona Auctions August 6, 2022 and reconsigned.

Klitgaard, a commissioned WPA artist, studied at the National Academy of Design and Barnard College in NYC; she is in the collections of The Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Modern Art-NYC, Art Institute of Chicago and Toledo Museum of Art-Ohio
