12-Lift Half Hull Model of the Whaling Bark “Sea Ranger”, 19th Century. Built at Mattapoisett in 1856, 273 Tons. Her first cruise was from Nantucket under Capt. Davis. In 1866 she was sold to Ivory H. Bartlett and Sons, New Bedford and sailed under Captain William Lewis. Her last voyage was in 1893 under Captain C.H. Foley from San Francisco to the North Pacific. She was lost off Nyack Island in the Arctic Ocean beyond Bering Straits in May 1893
