Three Clark Voorhees Jr. (1911-1980) Carved Porpoise Plaques, stamped on reverse, one fin missing.
Voorhees was the son of Clark Greenwood Voorhees (1871-1933), who was one of the founders of the Old Lyme Art Colony. After establishing himself in his craft, he moved his carving business to its permanent home in Vermont. The majority of his whales were his eighteen-inch models.
