Rare Nantucket Nine Spindle Bow Back Windsor Side Chair, circa 1817, signed “BB” underneath, possibly made or owned by Benjamin Bunker; constructed of cherry, hickory and ash, the continuous bow rising from a shaped seat with groove encompassing nine bamboo carved spindles protruding through the chest for the exception of the central spindle; on faux bamboo carved legs and H-stretcher.
